Creating timeless interiors inspired by old world charm.
Meet the owner
Hi, I’m Shonda
Foxglove & Fir was born from a lifelong love of design, creativity, and the kind of spaces that feel deeply personal.
I attended Harrington College of Design, where I earned my associate’s degree in interior architectural design, but my relationship with design began long before formal education. I’ve always been a visual and creative person; sewing my own clothes when I was younger, refinishing furniture, creating art, and instinctively seeing how pieces, colors, and textures could come together to tell a story.
Foxglove & Fir grew out of a love for all things cottage inspired. After spending significant time in the English countryside, I found myself drawn to its warmth, charm, and lived-in beauty; homes layered with pattern, color, history, and heart. I wanted my work, and my business, to reflect that feeling.
I love mixing old with new, embracing pattern and color, and weaving in unexpected elements that make a space feel collected rather than curated. In an area that leans heavily toward dark exteriors and modern cabin aesthetics, Foxglove & Fir intentionally stands apart; specializing in cozy, inviting cottage-style spaces that feel comforting, expressive, and full of life.
My goal is to create homes you’re excited to come back to at the end of a long day, the kind of spaces that invite you to slow down, stay in, and truly feel at home. While Foxglove & Fir is a new business, I am not new to the world of decorating and design. Each space I create is meant to feel warm, cozy, and loved; layered with meaning and designed to be lived in.
